Why Consider the Sacramento Region for Your Wedding?
When considering where to get married in California many people immediately envision California's beautiful beaches or picturesque vineyards, the city of Sacramento may not always come first to one’s mind. This is unless you are familiar with all of what Sacramento has to offer. In the more than a decade in which we’ve been photographing California weddings, we’ve become very familiar with all that the Sacramento area has to offer and it’s no short list.
Sacramento offers something for everyone. Couples and their guests will be impressed by Sacramento’s rich history, modern and sophisticated culture, as well as its diverse surroundings. Sacramento easily jumps to one of California's most enjoyable regions to hold a wedding when one considers its unique qualities. Not only is Sacramento the state's Capital, but it boasts great entertainment for couples and their guests. The region has the NBA Kings, as well as, the minor league River Cats, and Sacramento Republic soccer team. Museums like The Crocker Art Museum, Wells Fargo History Museum, The California Railroad Museum are just a few of the memorable museums located in Sacramento. Of course, Sacramento also boasts a number of live theater companies such as the Sacramento Theater Company and California Stage Company to name just two. |
With fine dining restaurants and a number of great downtown bars wedding guests will have plenty to do when not at your wedding. If guests decide to extend their stay in the Sacramento area they can also choose to visit some of the most popular tourist destinations in the United States as Sacramento is just an hour or two drive to the spectacular vineyards of Napa and Sonoma counties or the stunning blue waters of Lake Tahoe.
Finally housing your guests in the Sacramento area is also no problem at all with a multitude of hotels and Airbnbs in all price ranges. In fact, when compared with the coastal region of California or the wineries of Napa and Sonoma, Sacramento weddings come at a substantially lower cost to couples and guests.
